Yes, Marsha's core features are completely free to use. There may be optional premium features in the future, but all essential moderation tools will always remain free.

Marsha currently supports English (EN), French (FR), Spanish (ES), Swedish (SE), and Turkish (TR). You can change the language in the dashboard settings.
How do I change the bot's language?
- Go to dashboard.marsha.app
- Select your server
- Navigate to Settings → Language
- Choose your preferred language
Can I use Marsha on multiple servers?
Absolutely! You can add Marsha to as many servers as you want. Each server has its own independent configuration.
Who developed Marsha?
Marsha is developed and maintained by Meltdown Technologies.
Setup & Configuration
Why does Marsha need Administrator permission?
Administrator permission allows Marsha to:
- Manage roles for mutes
- Kick and ban members
- Delete messages for auto-moderation
- Create/modify channels for anti-raid
- Access all channels for comprehensive logging
How do I configure the mute role?
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Mute Role
- Either create a new role or select an existing one
- Marsha will automatically configure channel permissions
Can I customize which commands are available to which roles?
Yes! Use Role Groups in the dashboard:
- Go to Dashboard → Role Groups
- Create a group (e.g., "Moderators")
- Add Discord roles to the group
- Assign command permissions

Commands
Slash commands aren't showing up
Make sure:
- Marsha has permission to use application commands
- You're typing
/to trigger the command picker - Marsha is online (green status)
- Try reloading Discord (Ctrl+R)
How do I give moderators access to commands?
Configure role groups in the dashboard to assign command permissions to specific Discord roles.
Can I disable certain commands?
Yes, through role groups. Simply don't assign the command permission to any role group, making it admin-only by default.
Auto-Moderation
How does auto-moderation work?
Marsha scans messages in real-time and checks them against enabled rules (spam, bad words, links, etc.). If a message violates a rule, Marsha takes the configured action (delete, warn, mute, etc.).
Can I whitelist certain roles from auto-moderation?
Yes! In Dashboard → Auto-Moderation, you can exempt specific roles from all or individual rules.
What's the difference between Traditional Mode and Heat Mode?
- Traditional Mode: Each violation triggers the configured action immediately
- Heat Mode: Violations accumulate "heat points" over time, with actions based on heat level

Infractions & Sanctions
What's the difference between a warning and a note?
- Warning: Official sanction visible in the member's infraction history, counts toward automatic escalation
- Note: Internal staff note, not a sanction, used for context and coordination
Can I remove infractions?
Yes, use /infractions remove <infraction-id> or remove them through the dashboard. This is useful for mistakes or resolved issues.
How does automatic sanction escalation work?
Configure levels in Dashboard → Sanctions. Example:
- 3 warnings → 1 hour mute
- 5 warnings → 24 hour mute
- 7 warnings → Kick
What's the difference between Mute and Timeout?
- Mute: Assigns a Discord role that prevents sending messages (requires configuration)
- Timeout: Uses Discord's native timeout feature (no role needed, temporary by design)
Logs
Where are logs stored?
Logs are not stored by Marsha. They are sent in real-time to the Discord channel you configure in Dashboard → Logs. This means:
- Logs follow Discord's message retention
- You control the log channel permissions
- Marsha doesn't store your data
What events can be logged?
- Member joins/leaves
- Message edits/deletions
- Role changes
- Channel modifications
- Moderation actions
- Auto-moderation triggers
- And many more
Can I log different events to different channels?
Currently, all logs go to one configured channel. You can use Discord's channel permissions to control who sees logs.
Anti-Raid
How does raid detection work?
Marsha monitors join patterns and activity. If many accounts join in a short time period with suspicious characteristics, Marsha can automatically lock down the server.
What happens during a lockdown?
- New members can't verify/gain access
- Optionally: channels are locked
- Optionally: invites are paused
- Moderators are notified
Can I manually trigger a lockdown?
Yes, use /antiraid lock to manually enable lockdown mode. Use /antiraid unlock to disable it.
