Captcha Verification

The captcha system verifies that new members are human before granting them access to your server. It's excellent protection against bots and automated raids.

Access: Dashboard → Systems → Captcha

What is Captcha?

Captcha forces newcomers to complete a verification challenge before accessing your server.

Challenge types:

Visual challenges (identify images), mathematical challenges (solve simple calculations), and text challenges (copy text).

Benefits:

Blocks 99% of automated bots, drastically reduces raids, easy for humans, and customizable to your needs.

Captcha Configuration

Step 1: Enable Captcha

Go to Dashboard → Systems → Captcha and enable the system with the toggle button.

Step 2: Choose Challenge Type

Select the type of captcha you want to use: Visual (recommended for most servers), Mathematical (simple and effective), or Text (strictest).

Step 3: Configure Roles

Unverified role:

Create a role that has access to no channels except the verification channel. New members automatically receive this role.

Roles after verification:

Select roles to automatically give after passing the captcha (e.g., @Member).

Step 4: Verification Channel

Create a #verification channel where the captcha will be displayed. Ensure only the "unverified role" can see this channel.

Step 5: Custom Message

Write a welcome message that will be displayed with the captcha. Explain to new members how to proceed.

Advanced Settings

Time limit:

Define how long members have to complete the captcha before being kicked (recommended: 5-10 minutes).

Maximum attempts:

Number of tries allowed before automatic kick (recommended: 3 attempts).

Bypass for old accounts:

Exempt Discord accounts created more than X days ago (recommended: 30 days). Old accounts are rarely bots.

Logs:

Record successful and failed verifications in a log channel to monitor activity.

  4. Marsha sends a private message with the captcha
  5. The member completes the challenge
  6. They receive the configured roles and access the server
  7. The unverified role is removed

Anti-Raid Mode

Captcha can be automatically activated via anti-raid modes.

Configure an anti-raid mode that activates captcha when a threat is detected in Anti-Raid.

Next Steps

  • Anti-Raid: Automatically activate captcha during raids
  • Settings: Configure role groups for exceptions
  • Logs: Record verifications
